*Constables must be appointed in the town to serve the above items or a 4c motion can be obtained from the court. Sometimes it is easiest to obtain the 4c when completing the initial filing, but one can be obtained anytime prior to service. BEWARE of Constables that claim to be appointed in all towns or say they can serve anywhere and “Not to worry about it”.

Unfortunately there are still a number of constables that make illegal services in this manner. And if it is caught, it will cost you time, money and possibly even your case.

By working with a network of other constable and with the courts, we can
assure you that your papers will be served legally by an appointed constable
or on a 4c Motion approved by the court.
